First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan, has called on Nigerians to join her husband in the fight against terrorism.
According
to her, “terrorism can defeat anyone including my husband, President
Goodluck Jonathan, if he fights alone, because terrorism cannot defeat
us collectively.”
She made this clarion call at the 44th Birthday
celebration of the National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress,
OPC, organized by Mr. Gani Adams, and held in Ikeja, Lagos.
The
First Lady, who was represented by Senior Special Assistant to the
President on Youths and Student matters, Mr. Jude Imagwe, said that
addressing the insecurity in the country was a shared responsibility.
She
said, “I want to thank all Nigerians but as I appreciate your effort, I
must remind you that you all have a responsibility to play in the
security challenges facing this country.”

at the event include: Mr Joseph Evah, Coordinator, Ijaw Monitoring
Group, Chief Shina Williams, Special Adviser on Culture to Governor
Kunle Amosun of Ogun State, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi,
represented by Basorun Akinade.
